London, March 2 (IANS) Italian designers Dolce and Gabbana have put out their 50th collection in Milan.
The designers, who have been working together for 25 years, made an impact with a strong selection of romantic and tailored outfits Saturday, celebrating the brand’s heritage, reported femalefirst.co.uk.
Gabriella Forte, who worked with Dolce and Gabbana from 2002 to 2009 as their US president and licensing director, suggested it was among their greatest work.
“Those guys will keep doing what they know best, making women look good,” she said.
Colour black was a strong theme among the collection, which featured a number of textured skirts and suits as well as traditional lace work that the brand is known for.
More than 70 models took to the runway for the autumn-winter collection to a soundtrack of Ewan McGregor and Nicole Kidman’s “Come What May” from the movie “Moulin Rouge”.
