London, July 31 (ANI): In a miraculous escape, a dog cheated
death when he landed safely on a beach after falling 120ft off a sheer cliff.
Oscar, a cocker spaniel, walked off with “just a little
limp” after his fall from the Old Harry Rocks, near Studland, Dorset, which
happened while a woman was exercising him as a favor for his owner.
But Oscar became excited after being taken off his lead and
ran too close to the edge of the cliff.
He skidded over the top and landed at the foot of the cliff
- where he was stranded by the incoming tide.
But luckily a canoeist rescued Oscar.
“He was very lucky to be relatively unscathed. I
can only assume that he suffered a bump or two on the way down which cushioned
his fall,” the Daily Express quoted Coastguard Steve Williams as saying. (ANI)
