January 23rd, 2012 - 2:36 pm ICT by IANSBeijing, Jan 23 (IANS) Five people died when a man broke into their home in central China and detonated the explosives strapped around his body while they were eating at the dining table.
The attack took place around 11.30 a.m. Sunday on the eve of the Chinese Lunar New Year in Tielu village of Hunan province.
Liao broke into the home of his cousin and detonated the explosives, police said. Liao and two others died on the spot, while two others died of their injuries at a hospital, Xinhua reported.
The dead included the attacker, his cousin, the cousin’s parents and a child, police said. Six other injured were in stable condition.
An initial probe suggested that Liao and his cousin were involved in a land dispute. Liao had came back to the village a few days ago after having worked in cities for years.
