alaJan 28, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Serial killer Rodney Alcala, better known as the ‘Dating Game Killer,’ has been charged with the mysterious death of two other women in the 1970’s. On Thursday, prosecutors in New York slammed the two new indictments against the convicted serial killer who is already on the death row over the killing of four women and a 12-year-old girl. Rodney Alcala was charged with the murder of stewardess Cornelia Michel Crilley as well as Hollywood heiress Ellen Hover after evidences that have emerged linked the serial killer in both the cases, which till now have remained unsolved.

The two murders took place in New York in the 1970’s and despite unrelenting efforts of the investigators to solve the case, there was hardly any evidence that could point towards any culprit, owing to which both the murders was designated as ‘cold cases.’ While talking about the cases, Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus R. Vance Jr said, “Cold cases are not forgotten cases” while adding that the investigators and NYPD officers continued with the probe and each new link that came up enabled the authorities to reach the conclusion that Rodney Alcala was the man responsible for the New York murders.

While Cornelia Michel Crilley, 23 was found dead after being raped at her Upper East Side apartment in 1971, Ellen Hover was raped and killed at the Westchester County in the year 1977. The ‘Dating Game Killer’ was convicted last year for the murder of four women and a 12-year-old girl in the state of California and was sentenced to death in the month of March.
