DAP veteran urges Malaysian Govt. to focus on Indian interests
June 30th, 2010 - 5:58 pm ICT by ANIKuala Lumpur, June 30 (ANI): Pahang deputy chairman J. Apalasamy, has warned that Pakatan Rakyat will not be able to take over the Federal Government in the next general election if the coalition continues to lose Indian support.
“The incompetence and inefficiency of Pakatan’s elected representatives and state governments in addressing Indian issues had frustrated the community,” he said.
According to The Star, Apalasamy, who has been a party member since 1970, warned that Pakatan would also lose its state governments in Selangor, Penang and Kedah.
The report stated that while discussing about the issue, he pointed to the demolition of Kampung Buah Pala, the destruction of the Ladang Batu Pekaka Hindu cemetery in Kuala Ketil, Kedah and other Pakatan states’ indifferent attitude towards resolving the landless status of Tamil schools, Hindu temples and cemeteries, as examples of such incompetence.
