Czech brothel woman dies after brutal assault
May 8th, 2010 - 10:00 pm ICT by IANSPrague, May 8 (DPA) A woman in a Czech brothel died in hospital after being brutally attacked by a man, police said Saturday.
The victim was under 20 years old and had sustained serious injuries in what police described as “a brutal attack”, died in hospital Saturday, a police spokeswoman confirmed.
The suspect is in police custody, she said.
The attack took place Friday night in a brothel in the border town of Folmava. The victim was airlifted to a hospital in the western Czech city of Plzen with serious abdomen injuries and burns, a spokeswoman for medical rescue services said.
Police spokeswoman Martina Zoubkova would not specify the assailant’s nationality, but a source knowledgeable about the case told DPA that he is a German national.
The victim was not a Czech national, the spokeswoman said.
