Cuban minister concludes North Korea visit
September 6th, 2009 - 3:56 am ICT by IANSPyongyang, Sep 6 (Prensa Latina) Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla has concluded his three-day official visit to North Korea Saturday.
Parrilla’s visit to Pyongyang has helped to continue the high-level political dialogue between the two countries, sources said. This was his first official visit to North Korea.
The Cuban minister arrived here Thursday and met various North Korean officials, including Education Minister Kim Yong Jin, Foreign Trade Minister Ri Ryong Nam, among others.
North Korea has reiterated its support to Cuba in their struggle against the economic and financial blockade imposed by the US on the Caribbean nation for more than 50 years.
Parrilla also met his North Korean counterpart Pak Ui Chun to discuss bilateral issues.
