Cuba, Botswana sign cooperation agreements
June 10th, 2010 - 9:59 pm ICT by IANSHavana, June 10 (IANS/EFE) Cuba and Botswana have signed here two agreements for close cooperation between the foreign ministries and in the health sector.
Botswana Foreign Minister Phadu Skelernani and Cuban Deputy Foreign Minister Marcelino Medina signed the agreement for cooperation between the foreign ministries, officials said here Wednesday.
Skelernani called for lifting of the decades-long US economic embargo against the African nation.
Botswanan Health Minister John Seakgosing and his Cuban counterpart Jose Ramon Balaguer signed the health cooperation agreement.
The Botswanan delegation led by President Seretse Khama Ian Khama arrived here Monday. The Botswanan president has met Cuban President Raul Castro on the same day at the Palace of the Revolution in Havana.
