Commonwealth Games mascot regales Delhi varsity students
May 29th, 2010 - 1:53 pm ICT by ANINew Delhi, May 29 (ANI): Shera, the mascot of the Commonwealth Games-2010, met Delhi University students on Friday.
The mascot attracted the attention of all visitors to the university, a majority them students who were appearing for admission tests.
” The Commonwealth Games is taking place in our Delhi. So we are very happy, about this. It is good to see that Shera is publicising about the Commonwealth Games,” said Rahul Chaudhary, a student.
Shera made his first appearance at the closing ceremony of the Commonwealth Games 2006 in Melbourne, where it was declared the mascot of the Nineteenth Commonwealth Games to be held in New Delhi in October 2010. (ANI)
