Cohen set to stir more controversy with new filmJanuary 9th, 2009 - 2:16 pm ICT by IANS
London, Jan 9 (IANS) British comedian Sacha Baron Cohen could create more controversy with his new movie that has a black model called Jesus and is shown wearing a loincloth and a crown of thorns. The movie is titled “Bruno: Delicious Journeys Through America For The Purpose Of Making Heterosexual Males Visibly Uncomfortable In The Presence Of A Gay Foreigner In A Mesh T-Shirt.”
A source said: “Sacha has really gone for the shock tactics this time. The characters were created deliberately to wind certain sections of society up and Jesus is one of them. It won’t be the first time Sacha has landed himself in hot water. The water might be a little hotter this time round though. Religion isn’t always the best place to poke fun.”
The movie also takes a dig at pop superstar Madonna adopting a African child. The character Bruno and his boyfriend follow in Madonna’s footsteps by adopting an African orphan, also called David Banda.
Earlier, Sacha courted controversy for his mockumentary “Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan”.
