Clarke, Hauritz star in Australia’s victory over Pakistan

Abu Dhabi, April 28 (IANS) Michael Clarke and Nathan Hauritz spun Australia to a 27-run victory over Pakistan in the third One-day international at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium here Monday.
Australia scored 198 for seven with Clarke contributing 66 and Callum Ferguson scoring 41.

Pakistan seemed to be on the right track after a 95-run opening stand between Salman Butt (48) and Ahmed Shehzad (40), but then collasped like a pack of cards with Clarke (3-15) and Hauritz (2-25) rolling them over for 171 in 47.1 overs.

After losing the first match, Australia have come back to lead the five match series 2-1.

Brief scores: Australia 198 for 7 in 50 overs (Michael Clarke 66, Callum Ferguson 41; Umar Gul 3-38, Shahid Afridi 2-31)

Pakistan 171 all out in 47.1 overs (Salman Butt 48, Ahmed Shehzad 40; Michael Clarke 3-15, Nathan Hauritz 2-25)
