Ciggies and booze make up UKs top brands

London, Dec 16 (ANI): Cigarettes and alcohol constitute 13 of the top 20 brands sold at UK stores, a new survey has found.

According to the Grocer magazines survey, shoppers spent a whopping 1.379billion pounds on UKs leading cigarette brand Lambert & Butler King Size, way ahead of Coca-Cola in second with 940million pounds.

UKs smoking addiction can be reflected in the next four brands on the list, namely, Marlboro King Size Gold with 654.3 million pounds, Mayfair King Size with 651.5 million pounds, Benson & Hedges King Size Gold with 630.5 million pounds and Richmond Superkings with 521.7 million pounds.

Popular lager brand Stella Artois comes seventh, with 518.1 million pounds, reports the Mirror.

Food sneaks in eighth, with British baking firm Warburtons. Snack food manufacturer Walkers Crisps lands tenth, while flour and bread brand Hovis coming 11 th .

Dairy Milk, SMA Gold baby milk, Fosters and Andrex round off the top 20 brands.
