Rome, July 26 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The Vatican is still mad about the sex abuse charges leveled against its priests and has also blasted gay priests who pretended to be celibate and asked them to make a candid confession and then quit the priesthood.
The Rome diocese of the church made these angry statements after news broke out this week about 3 gay priests who made confessions in an interview about their sexual preferences. And then they also went clubbing in gay bars and clubs & had indiscriminate sex with unknown people even in a building located in a church.
A French priest called Paul hired two gay prostitutes for the night and then also held mass in the morning. He then drove his companions to the airport after attending to his duties in the church.
The diocese said those priests did not deserve to be leaders of the church and promised to investigate the matter in a statement on Friday. The statement also defended the priests in Rome saying most of them obeyed the virtues of the priesthood.
The statement also said no one was forcing them to be priests and that these priests were only in the profession to enjoy the benefits. Estimates indicate between a quarter to half the catholic priests in the US are gay. It may be recalled that a popular priest in Connecticut was recently arrested for stealing over a million dollars to spend on gay prostitutes.
