New Delhi, July 25 (IANS) The following is a chronology of bomb blasts and terror attacks in India in the last 17 months: May 13, 2008: Eight serial blasts rock Rajasthan capital Jaipur, claiming 65 lives. The blasts take place within a span of 15 minutes at various places in the city, which is a popular tourist destination.
January 1: Seven paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force troopers and one other person killed when terrorists armed with AK-47 rifles and grenades storm a CRPF camp in Rampur in Uttar Pradesh.
October 11, 2007: Two persons killed and 28 injured in a bomb explosion inside the shrine of Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti in Ajmer during Ramadan.
August 26: Forty-two people killed in two explosions in Hyderabad, one in front of the state secretariat and the other in the busy Koti area.
May 18: Eleven people killed and over 50 injured in a bomb blast in Hyderabad’s historic Mecca Masjid and the police firing that follows.
February 19: Sixty-eight people killed and dozens injured in explosions and a fire that follows on the Samjhauta Express running between Delhi and Lahore.
