Christopher Bailey named ‘Designer of the Year’
December 10th, 2009 - 2:59 pm ICT by ANI ( Leave a comment )London, Dec 10 (ANI): Chief creative director of Burberry, Christopher Bailey, has been named the ‘Designer of the Year’ at the British Fashion Awards.
This is the second time that Bailey, 38, from Yorkshire, has won the title, with his first having been in 2005. In addition, Burberry took home the Designer Brand award, reports the Telegraph.
The designer had received the MBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours earlier this year, and his spring/summer 2010 Burberry Prorsum collection was the highlight of London Fashion Week, in September.
In his acceptance speech, Bailey announced that Burberry Prorsum would continue to show at London Fashion Week in February. (ANI)
