Chris Martin refuses to compromise on band merchandiseJuly 18th, 2008 - 1:38 pm ICT by IANS
London, July 18 (IANS) Chris Martin, Coldplay lead singer, doesn’t want to compromise with the quality of the band’s merchandise and wants some stuff to be replaced with better stuff. Thesun.co.uk reports that Martin says he wants every area of the 67-day tour, which started in Los Angeles on Monday, to be “no c**p zone”.
Martin said: “We were in the dressing room in LA looking at some of the stuff and much of it, especially some of the T-shirts, looked terrible. We put so much work into our music. That same quality control has to extend to stuff being sold at our shows and we made that clear. It has to be a no c**p zone.”
The group might lose quite a bit of money if their wishes are carried out, but they remain adamant.
