- London, Oct 22 (ANI): A six-year-old girl dubbed “cat girl” has baffled medics after a soft black fur started to grow all over her body.
Until few months ago, Li Xiaoyuan, of Fengkai, southern China, had just a small patch of discoloured skin on her back, reports The Sun.
Her dad Li Yan said: “Doctors told us it was just a birthmark even when it started spreading but now it covers half her body.
“None of the other children want to play with her they are calling her cat-girl and are really mean.”
Li’s mum, Li Jiang of Fengkai, southern China, said: “The poor girl - it breaks our hearts to see her suffer like this.”
According to surgeon Dr Lou Zhongquan of Zhaoqing City Dermatological Hospital, the youngster might be suffering from a rare disease that sends normal moles out of control.
He said: “If they were smaller we could use laser treatment but even if we removed these with surgery there is a very strong chance of post surgery haemorrhage.” (ANI)
