China orders 48 websites to remove porn contents
March 26th, 2010 - 12:33 am ICT by IANSBeijing, March 25 (IANS) Chinese officials Thursday revealed a list of 48 domestic websites having porn contents and warned the portals could be shut down if the contents are not removed, Xinhua reported.
The websites included www.pconline.com.cn, www.dospy.com and www.fengniao.com, among others, from where people download online computer and cell phone games.
Officials have asked the administrators of those websites to remove the porn contents.
As part of a nationwide campaign against pornography, the General Administration of Press and Publication (GAPP) periodically publicizes lists of websites that contain porn contents.
