Child dies in spin dryer
October 10th, 2011 - 8:41 pm ICT by IANSLondon, Oct 10 (IANS) A three-year-old child in Germany died in a tragic accident after he climbed into his home’s spin dryer and his twin brother switched the machine on.
The accident occurred at the home of the boys — Franz and Paul Bummel — in Schleswig-Holstein state, near Hamburg in northern Germany, the Daily Mail reported.
Boys’ father Martin, 42, was upstairs at the time the accident occurred. Their mother Natasha, 40, was at work.
Bummel discovered his son lifeless in the dryer in the basement of his home around 7 p.m. Friday.
A police probe has been launched.
