Caroline Kennedy does a Sarah Palin, repeats ”you know” 142 times in interview!December 30th, 2008 - 12:13 pm ICT by ANI
London, Dec 30 (ANI): Caroline Kennedys bid to claim Hillary Clinton’’s Senate seat suffered a blow when she stumbled and repeated ”you know” 142 times during an interview.
The 51-year-old daughter of the assassinated John F. Kennedy stumbled badly, fuelling comparisons to Alaska Governor Sarah Palins disastrous interview with Katie Couric of CBS News.
Kennedy attracted criticism for repeated use of the phrase “you know”, which she uttered 142 times during an interview with the New York Times, reports The Telegraph.
On being asked why she would be a good Senator, she said: “So I think in many ways, you know, we want to have all kinds of different voices, you know, representing us, and I think what I bring to it is, you know, my experience as a mother, as a woman, as a lawyer, you know, I”ve been an education activist for the last six years here, and, you know, I”ve written seven books two on the Constitution, two on American politics.
“So obviously, you know, we have different strengths and weaknesses,” she added.
New York Governor David Paterson, who has the sole decision on who will replace Hillary Clinton, has already said that Caroline Kennedy is not front-runner to replace Secretary of State designate Hillary Clinton for the Senate seat.
Paterson put up a caution flag to those ready to anoint Kennedy as New Yorks next US senator. (ANI)
