Car bomb explodes in Spain, no injuriesMarch 21st, 2008 - 11:29 pm ICT by admin
Madrid, March 21 (DPA) A car bomb exploded Friday in northern Spain after a warning was called in, but there were no injuries, the Spanish state broadcaster RNE reported. The report said the bomb exploded next to a police barracks.
Beforehand, however, a caller identifying himself as a member of the underground Basque separatist organisation ETA called in to give a warning. The attack took place in the city of Calahorra, some 250 km northeast of the capital Madrid.
Police sealed off the area around the explosion site, amid fears that a second bomb may have been planted.
