Captain Sully talks about the miracle of the Hudson on its second anniversary

Hudson, Jan 14 (THAINDIAN NEWS) It is two years since Capt. Chesley B. Sullenberger III miraculously landed an Airbus 320 plane with two failed engines on the Hudson river.

Capt. Sully as he is now famously called, said that he was shocked that almost two years after the incident people still want to hear about it. He indicated that it means Americans want to hear some good news and that is what the saving of the Airbus 320 plane full of passengers is all about to Americans.

The 58-year-old former Air Force pilot said that, “My guess about that is that people really want to hear something hopeful.”

He indicated that wherever he is recognized, crowds mob around him. To mark the second anniversary of the incident which is on the 15th day of January, several passengers on the plane were interviewed and made into an inspiring documentary called, Brace for Impact.

Capt. Sulley has already done several interviews and written a book about the incident. The story of how Capt. Sully stayed in the plane and ensured that every passenger has been rescued before disembarking, highly inspired so many people.
