London, Dec.8 (ANI): Football star David Beckham will not act as an ambassador for England’s 2018 bid once next summer’s World Cup starts.
England coach Fabio Capello is putting his foot down and does not want Beckham distracted - if he is picked for South Africa, The Sun reports.
Last week Becks put England’s 2018 World Cup bid back on track almost single-handedly.
He charmed the FIFA suits and fans alike - even helping with the 2010 World Cup draw.
But Sun Sport understands that the Capello camp intends to prevent a similar political circus in South Africa next summer. (ANI)
