Campbell boycotts British AirwaysApril 17th, 2008 - 2:11 pm ICT by admin
London, April 17 (IANS) Supermodel Naomi Campbell has sworn not to set foot on a British Airways plane after she was arrested for fighting with the flight staff in London. The supermodel allegedly assaulted a police officer during an argument over the luggage and eventually had to be escorted off the plane in handcuffs. Though there were reports that she was banned from British Airways, she now claims that officials spoke to her directly pleading with her to fly with them in the future, contactmusic.com reports.
She reached Rio de Janeiro and was taking about the airways boycott to local media.
She said: “Someone from BA called me and asked that I return to fly with them, but this will not occur so early. They didn’t find my bag, said it wasn’t in the system and there was a complete disrespect for the passengers. I am not speaking for myself. I am speaking for all those who have been disrespected.”
A representative for British Airways said: “We have not confirmed or denied that any passenger has been banned.”
