Bushs post-White House “afterlife” includes bike rides, baseball games
January 10th, 2009 - 2:36 pm ICT by ANIWashington, Jan 10 (ANI): George W. Bushs life after the end of his presidency will reportedly be filled with bike rides and baseball games.
With less than two weeks left for him to leave the office, Bush and wife Laura spoke out about what they expect from post-White House “afterlife”.
“Being a type-A personality, I”m confident I”ll be able to fill my days with activities,” CBS News quoted the president as saying.
Bush’’s afterlife will apparently be filled with bike rides, going to his office, a memoir, and perhaps baseball games.
He is also planning to work on the presidential library and Freedom Institute to be built at Southern Methodist University.
“This is not going to be a ”George Bush Is a Wonderful Person Centre,” or the ”Centre for Republican Party Campaign Tactics,”” he said
“It’’s going to be a place of debate, thought, writing, lecturing,” he added.
First lady Laura Bush has already found a house in Dallas for the couple to live in after leaving White House.
Had Laura not found a house, the president said, “I don”t know what we would be doing living in an apartment or hanging out with some friend, or something.”
On being asked about what comes next for him, he said I don”t intend to be very political.”
“I do know that our party must be broad-gauged, must be for things and not against things,” he added. (ANI)
