Bus carrying 27 people in China plunges down hill
October 28th, 2009 - 4:49 pm ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )Hangzhou, Oct 28 (IANS) A bus carrying 27 people plunged down a hill in the eastern Chinese province of Zhejiang Wednesday afternoon, a Xinhua report said.
Witnesses said at least eight passengers were killed, but the number of casualties has not yet been confirmed.
The bus went off the road at around 2.30 p.m. and stopped on the hillside in the mountainous Jiangshan City. Some passengers were said to be sitting inside the vehicle which was facing the danger of rolling down the hill, the report added.
A rescue operation has begun.
