Buried Chinese worker survives death by meditation!March 7th, 2008 - 1:13 pm ICT by admin
London, Mar 7 (ANI): A Chinese construction worker survived two hours buried alive in mud using the powers of Buddhist meditation.
The 52-year-old Wang Jianxin was digging a five metre deep ditch at a construction site in Ningbo city when a wall collapsed and buried him alive.
Stuck inside, the Chinese Buddhist survived by meditating himself into a state where he was able to breath the air trapped under his safety helmet.
“I had my back to the wall and didn’t know it was falling until it was on top of me, The Sun quoted him, as saying.
“It was suddenly dark and I realised what had happened, and found that there was a small air pocket in front of me.
“I knew it would not last, so I made myself relax and concentrated on slowing down my breathing by meditation, he added.
His colleagues dug him free with their hands, afraid that their shovels would injure him.
One doctor said that a man would not normally live any longer than five minutes in a sealed environment, adding: “Its a miracle that hes alive after being buried for two hours.” (ANI)
