bullAug 4, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Bullit County received a great deal of media attention over the last two weeks as the missing persons case of Brittney Kusten took a number of turns. The authorities have said that they have now got a number of leads on Roy Vernon Elwell. The sex offender is, however, still on the run and continues to elude the police.

A Lt.Scotty MaGaha of Bullit County Sheriff’s office has said that Roy Vernon Elwell should have been nabbed by the police by now, but he seems to be just one step ahead. According to Lt.Scotty MaGaha, there have been a number of twists to the search for Roy Vernon Elwell and they suspect that he is in the area. Reports suggest that he is armed. He is also suspected for a murder that occurred at the same time that Brittney Kusten was kidnapped. Lt.Scotty MaGaha also revealed that he had interviewed Brittney Kusten himself and thought that she was still recovering from the trauma. He added that she looks much better now than she did on the day she was found. He said that Brittney Kusten talked in detail about the two weeks that she went missing but he was not in a position to reveal the details.

Brittney Kusten went missing for two weeks before she was found on July 30. Her mother has said that she went through extreme physical and mental abuse over the two weeks that she was kept locked up by Roy Vernon Elwell. She also revealed that Roy Vernon Elwell was aware that Brittney Kusten’s phone was being tracked and thus he took it away from her.
