Buckingham Palace cops ’sat on Queen’s throne’, sold porn

London, Apr. 22 (ANI): A former Royal cop has claimed that police officers stationed at Buckingham Palace spent their night shifts running gambling syndicates, selling hard-core pornography and posed for pictures on the Queen’s throne.

A jury has heard the extraordinary account of how Royal protection officers slept off hangovers in private palace rooms, smuggled “uninvited and unvetted” guests into Royal garden parties and allowed business associates to park their cars at Buckingham Palace.

During his trial for a property fraud case, former Royal Protection Officer Paul Page charged that Sergeant Adam McGregor, who worked at the palace between 2000 and 2005, with disrespecting the throne, The Telegraph reports.

“Would you consider it serious if police officers serving in royalty protection got access to the thrones of the Queen and Prince Philip, sat on them with their feet up, putting their thumbs up in a comical pose and having their photograph taken . . . that’s just what you’ve done, isn’t it?,” Page’s lawyer John Cooper asked McGregor.

“Possibly… I’m not going to sit in court and say categorically that I didn’t. I may have done. But I don’t recall,” McGregor replied.

The court heard that in the course of his business dealings with Page, McGregor “arranged for investors to attend Royal garden parties to slip them through the back door unvetted and uninvited”.

McGregor denied that officers would sometimes sell steroids and hard-core pornography to each other in their locker rooms.

“I was at my post, and unfortunately, in the middle of the night, I fell asleep,” he, however, admitted.

Cooper alleged that Sgt McGregor had “used private rooms in the Royal palaces to sleep off your hangover”, adding: “That would be disgraceful, wouldn’t it?”

McGregor said he had only used police rooms. (ANI)
