Rhode Island, Sep 25, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The Brown University along with a woman who claimed to be raped by a former student have been asked by a court to produce some documents requested by the accused man. David Martin a U.S. Magistrate asked the university administration and the accuser woman to produce documents as requested by the man William McCormick III and J. Scott Kilpatrick, his lawyer. They have asked for academic and medical records corroborating the claim of the woman. Stephen Reid who is the attorney for the accuser and her dad, said that the case can be moved forward but also added that some documents are confidential and hence may not be produced at the court.

William McCormick III is in Pennsylvania’s Bucknell University and he has maintained that the woman is a liar. His lawsuit says that he was thrown out of Brown University campus in 2006 after the woman accused that he has molested her in the dorm. He is of the view that the university did not carry out a proper investigation into the matter and the father of the accuser woman tried to influence the university officials. Incidentally, the father of the accuser woman was a student of Brown University and he has also acted as its fundraiser. The University maintained that its action was appropriate.

William McCormick III has filed a lawsuit against the university as well in which he has held that the University did not treat him properly and showed partiality towards the accuser. The accused has also presented an email that shows the father of the woman asking Ruth Simmons, the president of Brown University to ensure accused suspension.
