Brits ‘likelier to eat fried tarantulas, sheeps’ eyes’ than other Europeans
October 11th, 2010 - 5:54 pm ICT by ANILondon, Oct 11 (ANI): A survey has found that Brits are more likely than other Europeans to try exotic foreign food such as fried tarantulas or sheeps’ eyes.
According to the TripAdvisor poll of 3,000 travellers, only 17 per cent said they would refuse to eat anything on a toe-curling list, which also included jellyfish and camel humps, the Sun reports.
Two-thirds of Italians and a third of Germans couldn’t face any of them.
Brits also complain more about bad meals.
Only 11 per cent wouldn’t complain, compared to a third of Italians and a quarter of Spaniards.
And Brits are twice as likely (eight per cent) as Germans, Italians and Spaniards (four per cent) to leave a holiday restaurant without paying. (ANI)
