Briton jailed for filming naked woman on iPod
November 13th, 2010 - 4:07 pm ICT by IANSSydney, Nov 13 (IANS) A 24-year-old Briton has been jailed in Australia for using his iPod to film a woman undressing, using the toilet and then showering, a media report said Saturday.
Tristan Francis Alain Maubec admitted to filming the 23-year-old Belgian woman Nov 7 in a unisex bathroom at a hostel in Magnetic Island off the Queensland coast, The Australian reported.
Maubec filmed the woman on his iPod, leaving it in the bathroom on the pretext of charging the device, but the woman became suspicious when she saw it was standing upright, the Townsville Magistrates Court was told.
He told police he only wanted to “see the woman naked” and claimed he would have deleted the clip after watching it.
The accused pleaded guilty to charges of breach of privacy and was sentenced to one month in jail.
