Facebook London, Aug 26 (IANS) Hundreds of teenagers gatecrashed a private party held at a British MP’s house after details were leaked on social network Facebook.

Police were called to the house after uninvited teenagers turned up at Tory MP Simon Kirby’s daughter’s private party, The Sun reported.

The MP from Brighton Kemptown in East Sussex said he was “personally upset” by the intrusion.

Kirby’s 19-year-old daughter Briony was hosting a small gathering of friends Aug 12.

Witnesses said the party - after the entry of the gatecrashers - was “very, very loud and boisterous” and the area was littered with beer cans and bottles.

The teenagers partied on the street and swore at residents. One neighbour said it was “an awful experience”.

Kirby said his daughter called in the police after she tried to get the gatecrashers to leave. Kirby and his wife Elizabeth have six children.

“The party was a one-off private event involving my family, and I have now dealt with the issue. I am personally upset that what was meant to be a small gathering of friends was gatecrashed by others,” he said.

There were no arrests and no one was injured, a police official said.
