British border guards find 22,000 pounds in woman’s bra
May 30th, 2010 - 5:15 pm ICT by IANSLondon, May 30 (IANS) British border guards seized 22,000 pounds that was stuffed inside the bra of a woman who arrived on a ferry from Ireland.
The cash was found on the Romanian woman during checking at the Port of Holyhead, the UK Border Agency said.
The woman was travelling to North Wales from Dublin. She claimed that she got the money from the sale of a business in Ireland. She, however, couldn’t provide any proof.
Daily Mail reported that the woman failed to explain as to why she had hidden such a large sum of cash in 500 euro notes that were no longer available over the counter in Britain.
