British army launches investigation into who leaked Prince Harry’’s ”Paki” video
January 13th, 2009 - 5:42 pm ICT by ANILondon, Jan 13 (ANI): The British army has launched a probe into how the private video in which Prince Harry was referring to a fellow Sandhurst cadet as our little Paki friend landed in the hands of a newspaper.
According to a senior defence source, a member of the Prince’’s platoon at Sandhurst might be behind the leaking of the video.
The source revealed that if the military academy had been made aware of the video at the time that it was made, they would have taken instant action over the Prince’’s comments, according to TimesOnline.
In fact, they would have destroyed all copies of the tape, according to source.
Other officers have revealed that they havent come across any incident in which the Royal or other officer cadets had used such language.
Sources said that the student Prince Harry referred to was an exceptionally high-quality cadetJunior Officer Ahmed Raza Khan, now a captain in the Pakistani Army, not only won the Overseas Sword of Honour for being the best foreign student of his intake but also appeared high on the overall order of merit.
As part of the investigations, Lieutenant-Colonel Harry Fullerton, the commanding officer of the Household Cavalry, will interview Harry.
The Royal is still an officer with The Blues and Royals of the Household Cavalry, although he is seconded to the Army Air Corps to train as a helicopter pilot. (ANI)
