Brit women love geeks who knows how to fix things
August 25th, 2010 - 4:42 pm ICT by ANILondon, Aug 25 (ANI): A new UK study has revealed that women are more attracted to men who know gadgets and technology well than the ones who are obsessed with keeping themselves fit.
In a survey of as many as 3,000 women, almost three quarters said they would not go for a muscley bloke who was fanatical about his appearance.
Almost nine out of 10 revealed they find men who spend their spare time down at the gym a total turn-off.
A 24/7-technology support service Geek Squad carried out the research.
“These results will be a severe blow for the millions of men who work-out in a bid to appear more attractive to the opposite sex,” the Daily Express quoted spokesperson of Geek Squad as saying.
“Women might lust over hunky celebrities such as Pitt and Clooney - but when it comes to being in a relationship, they would rather be with someone who can give them practical help.
“It seems that women value a man who can give them support in practical ways, as well as emotionally, especially when it comes to technology and gadgets,” spokesperson added.
One in 20 women admit to dumping a guy because they knew more about fixing gadgets than he did - “it’s not you, it’s me, I have this thing about geeks”. (ANI)
