Brit woman, 111, says honey is the secret to her longevity
May 24th, 2010 - 3:08 pm ICT by ANILondon, May 24 (ANI): Eunice Bowman, 111, who has made it into the record books by becoming the oldest person in the UK, has revealed the secret of her longevity - honey.
“I’ve had a simple life but I’ve had some great memories. It’s the honey that keeps me going,” the Daily Express quoted Eunice, as saying.
A teetotaller, Eunice, from Newcastle upon Tyne, has never smoked and has seen six monarchs on the throne and 22 prime ministers since her birth in 1898.
Eunice is mum to six children, has 17 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
Her grandson John Berry, 45, said: “She always has a smile on her face.” (ANI)
