London, September 16 (ANI): Guinness heiress Clare Irby, accused of indulging in a drunken sex act on board a Bangalore-London flight last year, bragged about taking opium in front of a fellow passenger, a court has heard.

The 30-year-old blonde, from London, was allegedly involved in a sex romp with passenger Daniel Melia on the Indian Kingfisher Airlines aircraft.

Irby is also accused of leaving her two-year-old son James unattended during the 10 and a half hour flight. She also allegedly threw a soiled nappy onto a seat, reports the Telegraph.

Fellow passenger Polly O’Callaghan, who sat two rows behind Irby, told Isleworth Crown Court about Irby’s erratic attitude, saying the heiress guzzled several glasses of red wine with Melia.

O’Callaghan said: “The gentleman and the female became quite flirtatious and he was touching her face over the seats. She said she ‘I am not normally this relaxed, it’s just all the opium I have been taking’. I distinctly remember hearing that.”

O’Callaghan also said that Irby was loud and rude to the staff on board and used the call button in her seat every 10 minutes over a two hour period.

She said: “I saw her throw a dirty nappy on the seat, she threw it on the seat behind her. I think she did it because she thought the air hostess hadn’t come quick enough. She asked for a nappy bag, she asked for a wet wipe. She also said ‘get this —- off my hands’.”

Irby denies being drunk on the aircraft, insisting she was exhausted had no more than four or five glasses of wine during the flight. She also denied flashing her underwear or throwing a dirty nappy.

The socialite, Melia and his girlfriend Sarah Hannon, who was travelling with him were arrested at Heathrow but were given a bail.
