Brides-to-be snap up replicas of Kate Middleton’s ring
December 14th, 2010 - 5:03 pm ICT by ANILondon, Dec 14 (ANI): A replica of Kate Middleton’s sapphire and diamond heirloom has become popular among brides-to-be.
The original ring is estimated to be worth 85,000 pounds, but members of the public can buy a replica for 69 pounds from the company Tru-Diamonds.
“The royal engagement rings made up 10 per cent of Tru-Diamonds’ total sales during November and were the biggest selling items in the jewellery range for the same period, ” the Scotsman quoted a spokeswoman as saying.
She said hits on its website had increased by 20 per cent after customers were e-mailed about the new product compared with the response to a Christmas e-mail sent a week later. (ANI)
