Bopanna out of Bangkok challenger singles

Bangkok, March 19 (IANS) India’s Rohan Bopanna’s run in the $50,000 ATP challenger was ended by Noam Okun of Israel here Thursday.
Bopanna, who made it to the main draw as a qualifier, went down 6-4, 3-6, 3-6 against Okun, another qualifier.

Okun next plays top seed German Andreas Beck who downed Frenchman Edouard Roger-Vasselin 6-4, 6-2.

However, Bopanna partnering his Pakistan partner Aisam-Ul-Haq Qureshi entered the doubles semi-final. The top seeded India-Pakistan pair beat Australian Chris Guccione and Brazilian Marcio Torres 4-6, 6-3, 10-4 and will next play third seeds Russians Michail Elgin and Alexandre Kudryavtsev.
