London, Nov 4 (IANS) Golden Globe-nominated American film actress and model Bo Derek has broken her silence over her relationship with “Sex And The City” star John Corbett, describing the love as “a gigantic bonus”.The 51-year-old actress was widowed in 1998 when her husband film director John Derek died of heart disease, reports dailymail.co.uk.

After five years alone, Derek started dating Corbett in 2002 after they met on a blind date.

The pair soon moved in together and is now sharing a 10-acre ranch in Santa Ynez, California.

“I was alone for five years. Having a love is a gigantic bonus in life, but I wasn’t unhappy when I was single, either,” Derek told Hjello! magazine.

Speaking of Corbett, who is four years her junior, Derek enthused: “He’s just fun, so much fun. I’m very happy now.”

Derek leaped to fame in the 1979 Blake Edwards film “10”, playing newlywed Jenny Miles.

The sequence of Derek running along the beach in a swimsuit with her hair braided is one of the most iconic film moments of the 1970s.
