Blast kills six in Russia
August 24th, 2011 - 1:06 am ICT by IANSMoscow, Aug 23 (IANS/RIA Novosti) Six people were killed and 12 others were injured Tuesday in a blast at a weapons testing ground in southern Russia, officials said.
The explosion in the southern Astrakhan region believed to have occurred due to the negligent handling of ammunition, the regional emergencies services directorate said.
Several of the injured were in a critical condition.
A probe was launched.
