Blackwater Guards Role In CIA Raids Under Speculation

blackwaterDec. 11, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The private military organization named Blackwater has once again come to the news after some sources reported that they had taken active participation in the CIA raids during 2004 and 2006. According to the reports, the Blackwater security guards had taken part in raids but contracts stated that they were appointed only to provide protection to the CIA. The reports regarding the role of Blackwater guards that have surfaced this week have created a controversy and has also raised the question of violation of contract terms.

Several speculations have started after the reports regarding the role of the Blackwater guards have surfaced and media representatives tried to contact the officials for confirmation. Though reports of breach of contract have surfaced, the company officials of Blackwater have denied any such allegations against their security personnel. The officials of the CIA also declined to make any comment on any issue related to intelligence operations in Afghanistan and Iraq. One of the former officials of CIA also said that they considered the Blackwater guards’ as an extended part of CIA and shared a good relationship.

Not only the CIA officials but also other US officials who were contacted after this news surfaced did not accept that they took active parts in the missions performed by the CIA. Yet, one of the officials said that the Blackwater securities move along with CIA troops for their protection. He also stated that Leon Panetta, the director of CIA had ordered for a review of the Blackwater’s security service role in the CIA missions. However, the official did not say anything about the results.
