Blackmail rapist jailed for 19 years
January 14th, 2012 - 5:50 pm ICT by IANSBeijing, Jan 14 (IANS) A rapist who returned to his victim’s home, forced her pose naked for photographs and then blackmailed her has been jailed for 19 years.
Liu Daoshun, 43, pleaded guilty to five charges of robbery, rape, burglary, extortion and sexual assault at Baoshan District People’s Court, the Shanghai Daily said Saturday. He was fined 21,000 yuan ($3,300).
Prosecutors said Liu entered a family’s ground floor apartment in Gucun Town at midnight Aug 2 last year.
Discovering a woman at home alone and sleeping, Liu threatened her with a razor blade, tied her up and gagged her.
He then raped her and took property worth 20,000 yuan, including a gold necklace his victim was wearing.
On Aug 16, Liu returned, threatened the woman and robbed her. He forced the woman to pose naked for photographs and sexually assaulted her. With these, Liu extorted 5,000 yuan from her.
