Bishop Eddie Long Ready To Address The Crowd To Deny Allegations On Sunday

Sep 24, (THAINDIAN NEWS) After two men, Maurice Murray Robinson and Anthony Flagg accused Bishop Eddie Long of sexual “coercion” on Tuesday, another man Jamal Parris has also lodged a complain against the Bishop saying by filing a lawsuit against him citing the same reason. However, Bishop Eddie Long’s attorney, Craig Gillen said that the Pastor has categorically denied all the allegations against him and her would address the general people on Sunday during services in the Church. The attorney also read a statement of the Bishop where it was maintained that the charges against him and “New Birth” are false.
Bishop Eddie Long canceled his interview on the “Tom Joyner Morning Show” after the allegations were made public. The lawsuit, that was filed in the DeKalb County Court it was maintained that the Bishop pushed these three men to have sexual relation with him when they were 17 and 18 years old. He even lured them with cars, money as well. One of the victims said that Bishop Eddie Long used to discuss and justify the intimate relationship by using Holy Scriptures. The attorney of Bishop Eddie Long said that these three men have filed a false lawsuit as they want money.
Craig Gillen read Bishop Eddie Long’s statement in a nationally syndicated radio talk show. Several church members stood in support of Bishop Eddie Long, despite his lawsuit. Brenda Joy Bernstein, the lawyer of two plaintiffs, on the other hand said that the Church officials would do anything to save such a prominent figure of their church and protect such a powerful church in Southwest. Bishop Eddie Long posted a message in the homepage of his micro blogging site where thanked all his followers for their support and prayer.
