Bigadda.com attracts women users from Asian Countries
April 17th, 2008 - 4:21 pm ICT by admin ( Leave a comment )Mumbai, Apr 17 (ANI/Business Wire India): Bigadda.com is attracting a large number of users, especially women, from the neighboring Asian countries.
Over the last month it has been observed that a large number of users from the neighboring Asian countries are joining Bigadda and close to 25 per cent are women; probably due to two reasons.
First, when women users join a SN site, security options provided by a site is a great concern for them. The freedom to share ideas, thoughts, photos and videos with only the people whom they choose to communicate with; something that users want and don’t find on other global SN sites, is something that is a central focus at Bigadda.com. Another factor that accounts for the current trend is the user’s experience. the common thread of culture that Asians across the world share.
The attitudes, choices, cultures, likes and views about issues are somewhere a binding factor that makes it possible for so many users across the world to associate with. All this is something that these bigadda members have found on the site, which brings them back and provides a feeling of belonging to a community that one associates with. Siddhartha Roy, COO - Bigadda.com said, “We are very pleased with the new trend observed over the last few weeks, with many Asian users coming onto the site and registering. What is most fascinating is that these are users who have become aware of bigadda purely by way of our popularity; since only a small fraction of the total number is members by friend requests. the rest have looked us up and joined Bigadda.” Social Networking sites are a growing trend in India and with the popularity of an Indian site among the Asian community; it could only be expected to get bigger and better.
Proving to be a platform to not only have fun and connect with friends, the appeal that Bigadda has in drawing large numbers of Asian users is indicative of the growing requirement of a site that users can also associate themselves with - and Bigadda’s “Indian feel” has definitely touched a lot of people’s lives.
A lot of newer members are joining the site from other countries such as Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Nepal, apart from US, UK, UAE and European countries as well. (ANI)
