Dubai, Dec 21 (IANS/WAM) A bid to smuggle over 17 kg of illegal crystal meth, also referred to as ice, was foiled by the customs at the international airport here.

The drugs were confiscated from the baggage of three suspects upon inspection of contents, which include a microwave oven, Ali Al-Maghawi, director operations, Dubai Customs, said Wednesday.

The three suspects were arrested and referred to the Anti-Narcotics Department of the Dubai Police, he added.
