San Jose (California), Feb 23 (IANS) Second seed Mahesh Bhupathi of India and Mark Knowles of Bahamas were upset by the unseeded American duo of Scott Lipsky and David Martin in the quarterfinals of the $436,000 SAP Open tennis tournament here. The Indo-Bahamas pair squandered a one-set lead to go down 2-6, 7-6 (5), 10-8 in a thrilling encounter Friday night.
Lipsky and Martin will now face Thai brothers Sanchai and Sonchat Ratiwatana in the semi-finals. The unseeded Thai brothers also registered an upset win over fourth seed American-Australian pair of Eric Butorac and Todd Perry 7-6 (9), 7-5 in the last eight round.
