Berlusconi’s two loves - women and football!
June 30th, 2010 - 4:04 pm ICT by ANILondon, June 30 (ANI): Italian PM Silvio Berlusconi confessed to having a soft spot for two things in life - football and of course, women.
Berlusconi admitted saying to the Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva that “football fanatics and women are the most likeable” people in the world.
“Lula told me: ‘No, no, I’ve been married for 35 years.’ But he had this look like he was figuring out some things,” the Telegraph quoted the Italian PM as saying.
The meeting of the two leaders comes at a delicate time between the two countries, with Lula yet to rule on the extradition of Cesare Battisti - an Italian ex-leftist militant held in Brazil whose extradition is sought by Rome.
Berlusconi’s ‘humour’ was probably aimed at releasing some of the tension between the two countries. (ANI)
