Beijing, March 25 (IANS) Chinese government employees were Tuesday urged to be transparent and improve supervisory systems. The edict forms part of regulations China’s State Council, or cabinet, has come out with to guide its millions of employees, Xinhua reports.

These cover general principles of administration, employee responsibilities, implementation of decisions made and transparency in government affairs.

All work should follow the principles of democratic decision-making and administration in accordance with the law, transparency and integrity, according to the regulations.

The State Council and all its departments should also absorb the opinions of the public and experts in the process, the guidelines said.
